Welcome to the Department of Mechanical Engineering

The Department of Mechanical Engineering is dedicated to fostering excellence in education, research, and service to society. We offer a comprehensive suite of academic programs designed to develop professionals who are technically sound, innovative, and socially responsible.

Our Ph.D. Programme in Mechanical Engineering focuses on advanced research and innovation. It is aimed at producing scholars and thought leaders capable of addressing complex engineering problems and contributing cutting-edge knowledge to the global community.

The M.Tech. Programme in Mechanical Engineering is tailored to meet the growing demands of industries such as defence, automotive, and scientific research. Through this program, we aim to establish a centre of excellence in Mechanical Engineering, equipping students with the skills required to design and manufacture sophisticated engineering components and systems. Graduates of this program are prepared to take on high-level challenges and make impactful contributions in technology-driven sectors.

Our B.Tech. Programme in Mechanical Engineering offers a solid foundation in core mechanical principles, along with hands-on experience and industry exposure. The curriculum is designed to produce well-rounded engineers who can solve real-world problems through innovation and critical thinking.

For working professionals, we offer a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering (for Working Professionals), which allows experienced individuals to enhance their qualifications and advance their careers without compromising their professional commitments. This program is structured with flexibility and practical relevance with industry.

In addition to these engineering programs, the department also offers a B.Sc. Programme in Aviation, which prepares students for dynamic careers in the aviation industry. The program combines theoretical knowledge with technical training, ensuring graduates are ready for roles in airline operations, aircraft maintenance, and aviation management.
