The Department of Law at Guru Jambheshwar University, Hisar, was established in the academic year 2024-25 with a mission to nurture the next generation of legal professionals. We offer undergraduate programs that blend rigorous academic study with practical skill development.

Our experienced faculty bring rich, diverse expertise into the classroom, guiding students through an engaging curriculum that includes moot court sessions, internships, and research opportunities. Through seminars, workshops, and real-world case studies, we expose students to contemporary legal challenges, preparing them for successful careers in law, judiciary, academia, and beyond.

With a strong emphasis on ethics and innovation in legal practice, the Department of Law is dedicated to empowering students to contribute meaningfully to the justice system and society.

• To instil values of ethics, integrity, and responsibility, shaping students into principled professionals dedicated to justice and the protection of human rights.
• To engage actively with the community through outreach, pro bono initiatives, and legal aid programs, ensuring that the department contributes to social justice and empowerment.
• Department of Law aims to cultivate a global perspective in students and faculty, enabling them to address international legal challenges while honouring and preserving India’s legal heritage. This approach ensures a balanced understanding of both global and local legal issues.
• To bridge the gap between theory and practice by providing practical training, including moot courts, internships, and collaborations with legal professionals, enhancing students’ readiness for real-world challenges.
• To develop in students a sense of responsibility to serve the society by developing skills in advocacy, judicial and other legal services.
• To organize lectures, seminars, workshops and conferences for dissemination of legal knowledge and to make law and legal process efficient instruments of social development.
• To impart training and conduct refresher courses for law teachers, judicial officers, advocates and other persons engaged or interested in legal field.
