Welcome to Haryana School of Business
Haryana School of Business (HSB) has its origin in the year 1994 with Faculty of Management having department of Business Management with sixty seats and department of Business Economics with 30 seats as part of the regional center to promote study and research in emerging areas of business education. The regional center grew into a full-fledged University-Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Hisar on 1st November 1995. The department of business management was pioneer in starting the super specialized programme like MBA (Finance), MBA (Marketing), MBA (International Business), MBA (Business Analytics) and MBA (Healthcare) apart from the popular MBA with dual specialization. To enable the practicing professionals in Hisar and adjoining area to acquire quality higher education an MBA (evening) programme was also started in the academic year 1997-98. The department also started offering Ph.D. programme in management. The department of Business Economics offered the PG degree leading to Master of Business Economics (MBE) as well as Ph.D. Both the departments were very active in organization of seminar, workshops, Faculty development programme for university and college teachers, lecture series inviting prominent industrialists, businesses professionals and academicians. The good response shown by the corporate sector in placing the department's students added another feather to their cap. Innovative curricula, vibrant teaching and research environment, interaction with corporate world prompted the state government of Haryana to combine both the departments and elevate them into an autonomous B-School within university as Haryana School of Business. At present the HSB boast of an ideal mix of senior, middle and young academicians. It is further reinforced by visiting Professors from diverse academic and professional world. Majority of the teachers are engaged in research activities and have attained enough national and international recognition through consultancy to government and corporates, publication of research papers and books, and participation in national and international seminars and conferences.
