The department offers a 2-years M.A. (Mass Communication) course.
Reversing the global trend Indian Media Industry has registered an unprecedented growth of 20%. Today, we have more than 80,000 registered Newspapers, around 1200 TV channels. Radio is back to the centre stage. In the face of this growth, there is a paucity of trained professionals in the media industry today. The department has been meeting this demand and has produoed some of the finest media professionals. The department offers M.Sc. Mass Communication course. The course is tailored to enable the students work in Newspapers and Magazines, Radio, TV Channels and Production Houses, Advertising Agencies, and Public Relations units of private, public and Government departments, National NGO's and UN Bodies.
